ITINERARY

Day 1  
07:30 Pick you up at your hotel / GH
08:00 Transfer by minibus on Route 13 road down to the south 2 hours
10:00 Arrive at Ban Nam Ming (where you start kayaking) get off the minibus, kayaking training by an experienced instructor. The Nam Ming river makes its way through a steep sided forested valley gorge. Its riverbanks are covered with a canopy, often consisting of old trees - the ideal habitat for a wide variety of birds. There are some fun rapids before the Nam Ming feeds into the Nam Khan.
12:30 Get to the Nam Khan, here is a peaceful place surrounded by beautiful mountains and fresh air. It is good to have our lunch here.
13:30 Continue kayaking down the Khan River again, it is quite a large river, because it is collection of other smaller tributaries.
16:30 Get to Ban Done Mo where we over night. This village is set in a landscape featuring rugged limestone mountains.
Day 2
08:30 Enjoy (western) breakfast
10:30 we continue our 2 hours kayaking on the Nam Khan. Along this distance is a garden area where you will see people working along the river-bank planting vegetables, corn... etc. ,
depending upon the season.
This day takes you to three highlights situated on the Nam Khan River. Kayaking ends
at TAD SAE Waterfall. Its limestone cascades with florescent turquoise pools between and beneath the trees offer a stunning sight.
12:30 Get to the one of the most beautiful waterfall called “ TAD SAE ’’. Here you can go swimming , jumping into pools or just relax among nature with fresh air ( lunch will be served here ).
16:00 After lunch and a swim at TAD SAE waterfall, you have the option of:
1) Visiting the tomb of 19th century French explorer Henri Mouhot, who was the first European to rediscover Angkor Wat and to travel all the way to Luang Prabang;
OR
2) Visiting the traditional textile weaving village of Ban Phanom, before returning to Luang Prabang.
 

Transfer by minibus back to Luang Prabang City.
