| Day1: Luang Prabang- Soun Luang. |

Pick up at your hotel or meet at our office. Transfer to Ban Soun-Laung by van, a 30 minutes drive on an exciting curving road following the Nam Khan River, surrounded by steep hills and terraced rice-fields. |

Upon arrival, where the only means of transport is by foot, we start trekking from Ban Soun-Laung village to Ban Tin-Pha with it‘s stilted homes elevated above the ground where we meet the colorful ‘Khamu’ ethnic minority group. |

Arrive at Ban Huay Fai, inhabited by the ‘khamu’ minority where pigs, chickens, dogs and ducks are roaming freely among the wooden houses and the children look curiously at visitors and strangers. We will have our lunch here in a villager’s home. |

After a rest in Ban Houy Fai, we start our 2 hour moderate trek through the lush verdant rain forest. We continue on to Tad Sae Waterfall (1-1.5 hours) where you can relax and go for a swim or go jumping into pools. Afterwards, we take a longtail down stream to the remote village of Ban Xieng Loum where a van awaits to take us to our Mahout Eco Lodge. As you will see through the minivan’s window, the landscape is dominated by scenic mountaintops and terraced rice-fields covering the slopes. |

After returning to our Mahout Eco Lodge by late afternoon, you will have

| Day2: Elephant bathing – Luang prabang . |

| 06:30 |
Retrieve the elephant from the jungle to give it a bath in the Nam Khan.

Have breakfast at our Mahout Eco Lodge Restaurant. |

Enjoy the natural environment on an approx. one and half hour elephant ride amidst the lush landscape and tranquil atmosphere on the back of the protected elephant. |

Lunch served at our All Lao Elephant Camp Restaurant. |

Van transport to Ban Pig Noy village which is inhabited by the Yuon ethnic minority group. Then we start bamboo rafting down the Nam Khan River passing lush green hills on our 2 hour bamboo rafting journey back to Luang Prabang. |
