Transfer from your hotel or meet at our office and start a one hour drive north of Luang Prabang. |
| 10:00 |
Start kayaking from Ban Khon-kham after basic kayak training by experienced instructor. You will receive some basic paddle instructions and practice.
Paddle pass various vegetable gardens along the idyllic riverside. |
| 11:00 |
A picnic lunch is prepared on a white sand bank set in beautiful scenery.
After relaxing and swimming, the afternoon is spent paddling in a calmer section of the Nam Ou River. There will be plenty of time to watch the villagers fishing along the Nam Ou. |
| 13:00 |
Arrive at the confluence of the Nam Ou and the Mekong at the highly venerated Tam Ting Cave, two temple caves filled with hundreds of Buddha statues. |
| 15:30 |
From the caves, a minibus will pick up the group for the 1 hour return to Luang Prabang but with a visit to Ban Xang-Hai which is a ‘Lao-whisky’ making village and of course you should try some! Transfer back to your hotel or to our office. |
